Kikuyu (Pennisetum clandestinum)
Very fast grower, recovers quickly from wear and damage. Mid-green colour, will not tolerate shade or excessive dampness. Needs regular mowing. Moderate to good Winter colour.

Hardwearing, semi-dwarf couch. Fine textured leaf. Dark green colour, browns off quickly in Winter. Good disease and drought tolerance. Low shade tolerance. Good as a sports turf.

Fast growing Buffalo with moderate to good shade tolerance. Drought tolerant, resistant to disease & weeds but has very poor Winter colour and will brown off quicker than most other turf varieties.
