Lomandra longifolia
'Katrinus'

Katrinus is suited to most soil types including heavy clay soils and has a slightly weeping fine green leaf. It is ideal for mass planting in garden beds and borders, ideal for roadsides and will tolerate windy, exposed positions. It is extremely drought tolerant and has excellent frost tolerance, staying evergreen in most areas of Australia.

Katrinus was bred from a variety of Lomandra that naturally occurred in heavy soils. Katrinus was selected for its slightly finer leaf, short size and dark green colour. Katrinus, like its larger parent has the ability to cope with most Australian climatic conditions, including humidity, high temperatures and drought, and cold winter frosts. Katrinus has often been used in harsh roadside conditions, with excellent results.
